Our meetings are filled with talk about model design and construction, personal experiences, and the latest aeronautical research. Members are encouraged to bring their current building projects to meetings. Anyone with a general interest in aviation is welcome.

Homeschool Pokémon Card Club
One Friday a month: 10:00 am-12:00 pm

Weston (9 years old) got his first Pokémon cards summer of 2022 and decided to start a Pokémon card club to meet and learn from other kids. This is low-key, child-led, unstructured fun. Most kids are beginners. So bring your cards and come play or trade with us for a few hours one Friday a month. For more information, contact Lindsey DeCaro by email at lleepep@hotmail.com.
No parking at the boat launch, please.
Fresh Book Fridays
Every Friday we’ll refresh the contents of OBM’s Little Free Library. So if you came last week and didn’t find something that tripped your trigger, it might be there right now. Or next week! We have quite a bit of stock, so no donations are requested at this time. The exception? Kids books, of course.
Polar Bear Plunge
While we don't host the annual New Year's Day plunge into the cold waters of Olalla Bay, we happily assist jumpers with official certificates, changing stations and a place to warm up: The Landing. Hoodies, hats and more will be on sale, too. Come and jump. Or come and watch. Either way, you'll have a great time! Our friends Harbor Haute Dogs and Pink Gorilla will be on-site to serve those that brave the cold. Hope to see you there!
Annual Olalla Book Hunt
It doesn’t matter if you’ve been naughty or nice…everyone deserves a good holiday read! Join in on the fun, on Christmas eve there will be books hidden all around Olalla waiting to be found. Photographic clues will be posted on the Fans of Olalla Facebook page at noon, sharp! We love keeping this tradition alive.
Santa Around Olalla
Stanta's trip around Olalla is a community event that has brought smiles to the faces of our kids for generations. Schedule will be posted here and shared throughout OBM and Olalla social media channels. As always, Santa's last stop will be at the store. This year, however, Santa will be in The Landing (where it will be nice and cozy) to meet those kids (naughty or nice) who are not on the published route.
Kids Holiday Craft Workshop
Bring the kids to the Landing for a fun holiday crafting workshop. Mark your calendars now, more details to come. Incidentally, it’s late start for SK schools the next day.
Cookies and Coco with The Red Truck
Who wouldn’t want to take their photo with THE RED TRUCK? Bring a cellphone camera, a donation and smiles!
Letters to Santa
The annual tradition continues! Kids mail their letters to Santa from the magic mailbox in front of the store. Santa’s helpers make sure everyone gets personalized responses. Make sure to include your return mailing address in your letter to Santa.
Gregg Olsen Book Signing
Gregg has a new thriller and a rename and reissue to celebrate! Join us at The Landing for a book signing. Books will be available on site thanks to our friends at Ballast Book Co. in Bremerton. See you there!
An Evening with Anne and Doug Bremner
In Justice in the Age of Judgement, Anne Bremner and Doug Bremner take readers inside some of the biggest cases of recent times and offer their expert, thought-provoking insights and analysis as our legal system faces unprecedented forces fighting to tip the scales of justice their way. Why couldn’t prosecutors convict O.J. Simpson despite all of the evidence seemingly proving he killed his wife Nicole? Could a jury remain unbiased in the face of overwhelming public pressure in the trial of Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd? Why was Kyle Rittenhouse exonerated after shooting three people (killing two) with an assault rifle at a violent rally despite widespread media reports seemingly proving his guilt, and national calls for his conviction?
This is a ticketed event due to limited capacity. Admission includes a copy of the new book.

The Hive book release at OBM
Book your calendar for THE HIVE
at OBM on June 12th at 3:00 pm
Come out and celebrate the release of The Hive. There will be door prizes and lots of opportunities to catch up with Gregg as well as your other Hive members. This event will be outdoors.
We will be taking preorders for The Hive as well as Starvation Heights, and Gregg will be happily signing both. A representative from Ballast Books in Bremerton will be on hand selling some copies of the books, but the surest way to ensure you get a copy is to preorder by either posting on the invite or by messaging Christina Renfro. Gnosh will be onsite with food available for purchase. Hope to see you all there.
